Fatality Accident at 4200 Anderson Road


Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 4200 block of Anderson about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (March 22).

The male victim, in his mid thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer D.J. Gutierrez reported:

A green GMC pickup truck was traveling on Anderson Road when the vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck a brown GMC pickup truck, head on. The driver of the brown pickup died instantly while a passenger was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an undetermined condition. The driver of the green pickup truck sustained serious head injuries and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. The driver may be charged with intoxication manslaughter if he survives his injuries. The passenger was slightly injured and booked for public intoxication.
