Update - One Pedestrian Killed Three Others Injured in Early Morning Collision

Pedestrian 2: 26-year old Erika James, 12000 block of Roadhouse, El Paso, Texas
Pedestrian 3: 28-year old Licia Kim, 1900 block of Ratner, El Paso, Texas
Pedestrian 4: Lashanda Delaney, 10000 block of Bob Stone, El Paso, Texas
Vehicle: 2001, Ford F-150, Lighting, Black in color
Driver: 19-year old Rodriguez Kemp, Ft. Bliss TX

El Paso, Texas -- Rodriguez Kemp was booked on Intoxicated Manslaughter with a $150,000.00 bond and two counts of Intoxicated Assault with a $50,000.00 bond each.

Investigators from the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations (S.T.I.) were called to assist Northeast Patrol with a serious traffic collision in the 4800 block of Dyer early Saturday morning. The investigation revealed that four female pedestrians were crossing Dyer St. (from east to west) in front of the Chit-Chat Lounge at the same time 19-year old Rodriguez Kemp was operating a 2001, Ford F-150, Lighting Pickup south on Dyer St. The front end of the Ford Pickup struck the pedestrian 1, 2, 3 & 4. Pedestrian 1 was transported to William Beaumont Army Medical Center were she later died of her injuries. Pedestrians 2 & 3 were transported to R.E. Thomason Hospital with serious injuries. Pedestrian 4 sustained non-life threatening injuries. Rodriguez Kemp was arrested and charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter and two counts of Intoxicated Assault. The four pedestrians were not crossing in a cross walk and the area is well lit.
