It is official, the smoking age will be 21 in Texas

After passing smoothly through the Texas House and Senate, a bill to raise the legal smoking age from 18 to 21 has been signed by Governor Greg Abbot into law.

The bill covers cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs, and other products with tobacco in them.

The Bill, SB 21, does not apply to military service members with valid ID. They will still be able to purchase cigarettes and other tobacco products at 18 years old still.
